The ideal candidate must have a BA or BS degree and three years’ experience in criminal justice, social work, employment counseling, placement, human services, or public administration. The Case Manager is responsible for identifying risks and consultatively develops preventative strategies, assist clients in learning life skills and development & implementation of framework. Must have the ability to assist clients, create and follow through with a case management plan consistent with helping clients accomplish goals and work towards self-sufficiency; mentoring clients; determine immediate and long-term needs, employability, and identify key barriers with people with criminal backgrounds. The Case Manager will also be responsible for interacting with agency case managers and employers to ensure appropriate placements. The selected candidate should also have substantial knowledge of coaching and mentoring to build successful program participants who possess creativity, leadership ability and oral & written communication skills. The Case Manager must have experience with working with youths and adults. Maintain case documentation, i.e. client records, including progress notes, case notes and all other relevant information to assist clients and to comply with grant requirements. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other social media applications a plus. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and the ability to pass State criminal background check and drug screen test required. Must pass DMV check, provide own transportation, and maintain proper vehicle registration, inspection and insurance. This is a grant position.
