Job Information

The ideal candidate will be responsible for three major components of a successful student experience; ensuring students’ regular program attendance, facilitating students’ successful completion of the program, and helping students with identifying community, learning, and other resources to assist with their inside and outside school needs.

The selected candidate must be able to comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards, and institutional policies and procedures.  Follow up with every absent student promptly and continuously until the student returns.  Establish strong line of communication with students who withdraw from the program and are eligible to return.  Schedule reentry interviews.  Must work closely with the Student Success Specialist to follow up on students’ attendance and participation in the adult education and vocational programs. Facilitate and coordinate students’ access to on-campus tutoring and other learning resources.  Create and update student resource database with the information on community resources for housing, child care, transportation, healthcare, etc.  Create, facilitate and monitor campus community-moderated classifieds and forum boards for students to exchange information regarding resources offered and resources needed.

Qualifications – High school diploma required, some college preferred.  Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other social media applications a plus. Excellent verbal/written communications skills and the ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen. Must pass DMV check, provide own transportation, and maintain proper vehicle registration, inspection and insurance.
