Essential Functions:

 IT Manager ensures that all employees have the technology they need to get their job done, from a reliable laptop and VPN access for remote workstation to up-close coordination with other departments while ensuring data security.  This position is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of Goodwill SELA’s computer systems and will supervise the Help Desk staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and optimize company networks and servers
  2. Be responsible for device and password management
  3. Ensure data is handled, transferred, or processed according to legal and company guidelines
  4. Implement and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
  5. Act in alignment with users needs and system functionality for betterment of the organization
  6. Oversee data backup and system security operations (i.e. user permissions, firewall VPN access)
  7. Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
  8. Utilize effective troubleshooting skills to diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software
  9. Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via Help Desk
  10. Resolve issues escalated by Help Desk technicians
  11. Manage Help Desk staff by training and coaching technicians, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
  12. Identify problematic areas and recommend solutions to CIO
  13. Travels to various Goodwill locations to perform duties such as installing, repairing, performing maintenance, and providing support of the network, hardware, and software. Locations include, but are not limited to, retail stores, workforce development offices, technical college, warehouse location(s), and potentially contract sites Goodwill/Goodworks supports.

 Education:

Must have a high school Diploma and 3-5 years’ experience. Associates degree and IT certification required.
