GET ORGANIZED MONTH IS A GO WITH GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA

January is Get Organized (GO) month, and Goodwill is here to help by transforming your generous donations into vital community services.

(January 25, 2018) – Entering a new year frequently inspires positive life changes like decluttering and simplifying, so it’s no surprise that January is officially designated as Get Organized (GO) month. If getting organized has topped your list of New Year’s resolutions, let Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana put you on the right track. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Start Small: If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the thought of organizing your whole home, try tackling the room or area where clutter is causing the biggest challenge. Is the garage too full for the car to fit in? Does closet clutter make mornings a hassle? Having trouble finding space for your holiday gifts? Attack those areas first. You might feel so inspired by your small decluttering victories that you expand your GO efforts to the rest of the house.
  2. Sort and Inspect: Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is happy to accept furniture, gently used clothing and household items. Visit https://goodwillno.org/donate/donation-guidelines/ for specifics on what Goodwill does and does not accept, as well as donation home pick up guidelines.
  3. Head to Goodwill: Visit www.goodwillno.org to find your nearest retail store and donation site. Residents can also schedule a pickup for furniture and larger donation items by calling 504.234.6324.

By making a donation to Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, you not only help clear clutter, but you also help members of the community attain vital job skills, explore employment opportunities and make a positive social impact in Southeast Louisiana

Happy organizing!
