NEW ORLEANS – Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is proud to have opened the organization’s first Attended Donation Center (ADC) on Veterans Boulevard on March 18, 2022.  Each day, thousands of people come to Goodwill looking for help finding a job.  Goodwill’s job training and career services would not be possible without the generous donations of gently used items from donors every day.  This new 3200 square foot facility will provide a more convenient location for donors to drop off goods and continue their support of Goodwill’s mission.

“For 75 years, We have been helping people overcome employment barriers and guiding them on the path to meaningful work,” said Jodee Doroca, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana.  “We see first-hand the positive benefits having a job has on a person’s overall health, family, and community.  These benefits are created through donations from our community members. We hope the ADC will make it easier for them to continue their generosity.

The ADC is strictly for the collection of donated goods and will be sorted and distributed to Goodwill’s 22 retail locations – helping to divert even more waste, eight million pounds in 2021, from local landfills.

Donors may drop off items Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
