NEW ORLEANS—(March 2, 2021)—What was once a thriving industry in metropolitan New Orleans, hospitality jobs have been hard hit this last year by the pandemic. With no discernable timeframe for a return to normalcy, Goodwill Technical College (GTC) has partnered with the RosaMary Foundation to offer displaced hospitality workers an opportunity to change careers into healthcare administration.
The RosaMary Foundation grant in the amount of $100,000 allows displaced hospitality workers to enroll in GTC offers in medical billing and coding and medical assistant at no cost.
Potential students must have been formerly employed in hospitality and have a high school diploma.
